Hromadske to screen documentary on Russia's recruitment of foreign nationals in Kyiv on October 20
Hromadske will hold a preview screening of its documentary Predatory Recruitment in Kyiv on October 20, followed by a discussion on how Russia recruits foreign nationals into its military.
The film follows a Kenyan citizen who joined the Russian army after being exposed to Russian propaganda and promises of high earnings, and was later captured by Ukrainian forces.
The discussion will explore Russia's recruitment methods and ways to counter them. Speakers include documentary director Anastasiia Kaminska, strategic communications expert Ihor Solovei and human rights advocate Mariia Tomak.
The screening will take place at 7:30 p.m. on October 20 in Kyiv. The film will be shown with English subtitles, while the discussion will be held in Ukrainian.
