Russian forces launched a drone attack on Odesa overnight into Friday, killing one person and injuring 14, including three rescuers, according to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service in Odesa Oblast.

The attack involved over 10 strikes across the city. A four-story residential building caught fire, and SES rescuers saved three people and evacuated six others. During firefighting efforts, structural elements collapsed, injuring three rescuers, who are now hospitalized in stable condition.

A 23-story residential building was also hit, with fires breaking out on the 18th, 19th, and 20th floors. Rescuers evacuated 600 people and saved three, including two children, from a locked apartment.

At the site of the partially destroyed four-story building, SES set up an invincibility point. Residents reported that one person may still be trapped, and search-and-rescue operations are ongoing.

The SES initially reported 13 injuries, including three rescuers. At 9:00 a.m., the Office of the Prosecutor General updated the toll, confirming one death and 14 wounded of varying severity, including three rescuers.

The office noted that Russian forces used at least 10 drones in the attack.
