Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia wounds 9, kills 5
The number of people injured in a Russian attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia late on Thursday rose to nine, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported.
The agency reported the update at 9:46 a.m. local time, up from eight wounded earlier in the morning.
Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov had said five people were hospitalized, including a 17-year-old, with one in critical condition.
The assault killed five people and damaged homes, a store and a market.
Russian troops struck Zaporizhzhia on Thursday evening. As a result, five people were killed. Homes, a shop, and a market were also damaged.
