Ukraine's energy system remains under severe strain due to Russian attacks and adverse weather, with the most difficult conditions continuing in Kyiv Oblast, Acting Energy Minister Artem Nekrasov said on Wednesday.

Previously published hourly outage schedules in Kyiv Oblast have been temporarily suspended.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported the previous evening that nearly 500 high-rise buildings in the city still lack heating in addition to electricity shortages.

Emergency restoration work in Kyiv city and oblast continues around the clock despite harsh weather conditions.

Certain restrictions also persist in Odesa Oblast, where repair efforts are ongoing after earlier Russian strikes.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, overnight attacks left 74,000 consumers without power; by morning more than 40,000 subscribers remained disconnected. Restoration continues.

Additionally, weather-related outages affected 12 settlements in the Chernihiv and Kyiv oblasts.
