3 killed in Russian drone attack on Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Russian forces struck the town of Vilniansk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast with drones overnight into Thursday, killing three civilians and wounding one, according to regional governor Ivan Fedorov and Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
The attack around midnight targeted a detached housing neighborhood, damaging seven private homes and completely destroying one.
A 62-year-old man and two women aged 26 and 50 were killed. A 57-year-old man was also injured.
Emergency responders extinguished a fire in a 100-square-meter residential building and put out a gas pipe blaze.
As of 7:25 a.m., rescue operations were completed.
