Attackers on police officers from Vinnytsia region remanded in custody, and the OC "South" gets a new spokesperson: highlights for April 22

A pre-trial restraint has been imposed on the suspects in the murder of a police officer in the Vinnytsia region. The Southern Defense Forces have appointed Dmytro Pletenchuk as the new spokesperson after Nataliia Humeniuk was fired. We have collected the main news for April 22, 2024.

Pre-trial restraint for attackers of police officers

The Vinnytsia City Court has imposed a pre-trial restraint on two military men, a son and a father, who are suspected of killing a police officer and attempting to kill another. They will be held in custody for 60 days without bail.

Earlier, both attackers were detained. They were notified of suspicion of attempted murder and desertion, which could result in life imprisonment.

After Nataliia Humeniuk was dismissed, Dmytro Pletenchuk, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, became the new head of the press center of the Southern Defense Forces. Previously, he worked under Humeniuk at the Southern Defense Force but was dismissed under strange circumstances.

Recently, members of the Media Movement, journalists, and the media appealed to the military leadership to dismiss Nataliia Humeniuk.

“Czech” ammunition will be in Ukraine in May-June

Ukraine will receive the first batch of ammunition under the Czech initiative within the next two months. The delivery is expected to take place in late May or early June.

According to the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, providing more missiles and air defense systems are two of the most important goals for the allies.

TV tower in Kharkiv gets struck

Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kharkiv. The city's television infrastructure came under fire. As a result of the attack, the city experienced interruptions in the digital television signal.

Later, it became known that the Russian occupiers had allegedly launched a missile attack on the telecommunications infrastructure with a Kh-59 missile.
