SBI official lives in elite Kyiv apartment, intelligence learns names of Russians who shot POWs: June 19 highlights

The deputy director of the SBI lives in a luxury apartment, although he declares a rented apartment
The deputy director of the State Bureau of Investigation and the head of the Main Investigative Department of the SBI, Oleksandr Udovychenko, lives in an apartment for $900,000 in one of the most elite housing complexes in Kyiv. However, there is no mention of this real estate in the official's declaration.
This apartment was purchased by a relative of Udovychenko’s partner in October 2022 at the price of a Khrushchev-era flat. She also owns a Mercedes-Benz GLE 350D for about 4 million hryvnias ($99,000) and another luxury apartment, although she lives in Odesa and works as a beautician.
Near Robotyne, the Russians shot four more Ukrainian soldiers
Officers of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence identified the Russians who were involved in another execution of Ukrainian prisoners of war in May near Robotyne in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The video released by the intelligence service shows four Ukrainian soldiers surrendering with their hands up without weapons. the Russians force them to lie face down and then shoot them at point-blank range.
The name of the soldier who was beheaded by the Russians was established
Ukrainian law enforcement officers learned the name of a Ukrainian defender who was beheaded by the Russians in Donetsk Oblast. However, it cannot be revealed yet, pending final confirmation.
Russian commanders who could be potentially responsible for this war crime were also identified.
American F-16s will be based in Ukraine
Jake Sullivan, the national security advisor to the US president, said that the F-16 fighter jets that Ukraine will receive from the United States will be based on Ukrainian soil.
Previously, the chief of aviation of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Holubtsov said that a certain number of Western F-16 fighter jets, which the partners transfer to the needs of the Defense Forces, will be stored at safe air bases, not in Ukraine, so that they do not become targets for Russian attacks.
The Prosecutor General did not come to the parliament on summons
Lawmakers summoned the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin to the Verkhovna Rada for explanations against the background of the Skhemy investigation into his deputy Dmytro Verbytskyi. However, he did not turn up, explaining that an official inspection is currently underway, and therefore, the discussion should be postponed.
Also, according to Kostin, Verbytskyi cannot be removed from his duties during the official investigation.
Penalties will be imposed for messages of a sexual nature
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law that should strengthen the fight against violence against women and domestic violence.
In particular, sexual harassment, i.e. the intentional commission of offensive, humiliating acts of a sexual nature against a person's will, expressed verbally or non-verbally (words, gestures, body movements), will be punished by a fine, community or correctional services.
Meanwhile, the number of cases of domestic violence in Ukraine increased by more than a third during the year.
It was established who shot first on the Maidan on February 20, 2014
The former company commander of the Berkut special unit in Sevastopol and one of the policemen of this unit were indicted. According to the investigation, they fired the first shots from pump-action rifles at the protesters on February 20, 2014. On that day, 48 participants of protest actions were killed, and another 90 were wounded by gunshots.
The Rada supported the law on military police
Parliament passed the bill on the military police in the first reading. The military police is proposed to be created as a military formation with law enforcement functions, which will have the task of ensuring law and order and military discipline.
Russia signed an agreement on mutual military assistance with North Korea
Russian leader Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed an agreement on "comprehensive strategic partnership". It provides for mutual military assistance in case of aggression against Pyongyang or Moscow.
The details of the agreement are not disclosed, but Kim Jong-un added that the agreement provides for the development of cooperation in the military sphere.
The pro-Russian party Nash Kray was banned
The Eighth Administrative Court of Appeal passed a decision banning the activities of the pro-Russian political party Nash Kray on the territory of Ukraine. The property, funds and other assets of the party, its regional, city, district organizations, primary centers, and other structural entities have been transferred to the state.
