Ukraine attacked the command post of a Russian motorized rifle regiment
The Ukrainian Air Force conducted a successful attack at the command post of a Russian motorized rifle regiment in the village of Nekhoteevka (Belgorod region), the General Staff reports.
Police found suspected in the assault on a former serviceman
Law enforcement officers have served a notice of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine to a young man who assaulted Oleksandr, a former serviceman of the 32nd Separate Mechanised Brigade, while the latter was walking his dog in Kyiv.
According to the investigation, the attacker is a 17-year-old resident of Kyiv. He is a college student with enhanced military and physical training.
He may face fine or probationary supervision for up to five years or restraint of liberty for the same period.
Budanov on the situation in the east
The head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that the situation in Ukraine’s east will remain difficult for at least another month, but “Armageddon won’t happen."
According to the official, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to minimize the successes of the Russian army there and prevent the further capture of Ukrainian territory.
ATACMS attack on occupied Sevastopol
Russia accused Ukraine of a June 23 attack on the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. Russia says that civilian infrastructure was attacked. Three people are reported dead and nearly a hundred injured.
Russia's Defence Ministry claims the city was allegedly attacked with long-range ATACMS missiles "equipped with cluster warheads."
In Dagestan, unidentified gunmen opened fire on synagogue, church and police post
In Derbent and Makhachkala, Dagestan, unidentified gunmen opened fire on a synagogue, church and road patrol service post. Counterterrorist operation is ongoing in the region.
The attackers are reportedly holding about 40 people hostage in the church. Two attackers were "eliminated" and several others were detained, the Russian media say.
Two sons of the head of the Sergokalinsky district of Dagestan, Magomed Omarov, Osman and Adil Omarov, took part in the attack on Makhachkala. According to reports they were the ones who were "eliminated."
Azov's Chief of Staff complaint on the combat general
Bohdan Krotevych, Chief of Staff Azov brigade, filed a complaint with the State Bureau of Investigation calling for an investigation into the combat general.
"He killed more Ukrainian soldiers than any Russian general", Krotevych wrote on his Telegram channel.
Krotevych doesn’t disclose the general name, but says that "99% of the service members hate him for what he does."
Russian attacks on Ukraine
Russia launched a guided bomb attack on the civilian infrastructure of Kharkiv on June 23, killing one person and injuring 11.
A drone attack on Stanislav village and Beryslav district of the Kherson region injured three people. Shelling of the village of Verkhnia Tersa in Zaporizhzhia region on the evening of June 23, injured an elderly woman.
