US presidential candidate Donald Trump has assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that his election victory will not mean a favorable position for Russia. Public figure Iryna Farion was shot while waiting for a taxi to go to her daughter. A mayor who tried to take over a recreation center by the sea was detained in the Odesa region. Trump assures that his victory will not benefit Russia

During a conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, US presidential candidate Donald Trump urged him not to believe that his victory in the election would be beneficial to Russia.

Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is also convinced that Donald Trump “has the power” to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, and on Ukraine's terms. According to him, he gained confidence in this after meeting with the US presidential candidate.

Farion killed while waiting for a taxi

Linguist and public figure Iryna Farion was murdered when she was waiting for a taxi to go to her daughter.

At the time, there was no electricity in the neighborhood, so most of the surveillance cameras were not working. However, law enforcement officers are looking for cameras that could work on batteries.

Farion's funeral will be held in her hometown of Lviv on July 21, with the funeral rites beginning the next day.

Racketeer mayor detained in Odesa region

Law enforcement officers detained a mayor who tried to take over a recreation center by the sea. The day before, the media wrote that it was the mayor of Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Vitaliy Hromadan, elected from the OPFL.

According to the investigation, the criminal group, led by the head of the city council, tried to force the owner of a local recreation center on the Black Sea coast to give up 50% of its corporate rights.

Taxi driver claims Crimea was never Ukrainian

A Bolt taxi driver claimed that Crimea had never been Ukrainian and was “just handed over” to Ukraine, according to passenger Galina Morar. According to her, it all started when she asked to turn off the Russian chanson. The company has already responded to the behavior of their driver.

Hungary may face a fuel crisis

Hungary is facing a fuel shortage after Ukraine banned oil shipments from the Russian company Lukoil through its territory, Politico reports.

Demolition of Zelenskyi estate in Kyiv

In the evening of July 19, a historic building, the Zelensky estate at 22 Konys'koho Street, built in 1890, was demolished without authorization in the center of Kyiv. The city authorities said they were outraged by the situation and called the demolition “brazen and cynical arbitrariness”.

Pavlo Sheremet died eight years ago

Today, July 20, marks the eighth anniversary of the death of journalist Pavlo Sheremet, who was blown up in his car on his way to work in 2016.

The case of Sheremet's murder has been suspended because the defendants are currently serving in the army.
