Zip line accident across the Dnipro

On the afternoon of July 21, a zip line broke off in the center of Kyiv across the Dnipro River, which runs from the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian People to Trukhaniv Island. At that time, a 20-year-old man was on the attraction.

As of 9:25 p.m., search and rescue efforts did not yield results — the man’s body was not found. The search will continue on July 22.

The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office said that in 2021 it had tried to stop the operation of this attraction. However, the Kyiv authorities say that the prosecutors did not try to cancel the work of the attraction itself, but only contested the results of the investment competition.

Klitschko talks about a referendum in case of territorial concessions

The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko believes that in case of territorial concessions in favor of Russia, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will have to call a referendum to find out public opinion about it.

According to Klitschko, the coming months will be very difficult for the head of state.

The prosecutor's office reacted to the demolition of the Zelenskyi manor

The Prosecutor General's Office has started criminal proceedings regarding the demolition of the Zelenskyi estate in Kyiv.

The building was seized in January 2024 with a ban on use, disposition and alienation within the scope of the case of deliberate illegal destruction, destruction or damage to objects of cultural heritage.

At the same time, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko called the destruction of the building a cynical provocation.
