“Counterterrorist operation” in Russia and allegedly downed Ukrainian drones in Belarus: highlights for August 10

A “counterterrorist operation” was announced in three regions of Russia bordering Ukraine. Belarus said it had shot down Ukrainian drones that had violated its airspace. On the morning of August 10, Russia spread information that Ukrainian troops had allegedly entered the village of Poroz in the Belgorod region of Russia.
Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War believe that Russian troops are likely to be deployed to Kursk region from eastern and southern Ukraine.
Russians are preparing for assaults in Kharkiv region
The Kharkiv Operational and Tactical Group reported that Russian troops are regrouping and rotating near Vovchansk. It is assumed that this is how the occupiers are preparing for assault operations in the city.
Belarus allegedly shot down Ukrainian drones
Self-proclaimed Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that Ukraine had allegedly violated the country's airspace. According to him, on the evening of August 9, the country's air defense forces destroyed several targets over the territory of Belarus.
Lukashenko ordered to reinforce the grouping of Belarusian troops near the border with Ukraine.
Subsequently, the Belarusian Defense Ministry and Belarusian propagandists published footage showing the wreckage of allegedly Ukrainian drones.
DIU destroys Russian boat in Crimea
On the night of August 9, the servicemen of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Tunets speedboat near Chornomorske in temporarily occupied Crimea using a MAGURA V5 maritime attack drone.
This is not the first Tunets to be captured off the coast of the peninsula: in May, two Russian vessels of this type were destroyed by the scouts, and two more were damaged.
Koliadenko wins a silver medal at the 2024 Olympics
