Defense Forces hit S-300 anti-aircraft complex in Rostov Oblast
Overnight, units of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the position of the Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile system near Novoshakhtinsk in Russia’s Rostov Oblast, reported the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
After the strike on the Russian position, explosions were observed at certain aiming points. The accuracy of the strike is still being investigated.
The General Staff also noted that the Russians use S-300 systems to attack peaceful cities in Ukraine, destroying residential buildings and terrorizing the civilian population.
Earlier, the Rostov Oblast authorities reported an attack on the region, with local governor Vasily Golubev stating that a missile was allegedly shot down over the region.
