Ukraine lost F-16 and its pilot
F-16 fighter jet crashed while repelling a Russian missile attack on August 26. The pilot was killed. A special Defense Ministry commission is investigating the crash site.
The Air Force said that pilot Oleksii Mes died after destroying three cruise missiles and one attack drone.

Ukrainian troops in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, are holding the defense along the former canal in the town, the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo says.

Ukraine’s Defense Ministry plans to turn the mobile app for military conscripts Reserve+ into an online alternative for Territorial Centers of Recruitment, adding options for registering military deferral and online recruitment.
According to the Ministry, 3.2 million people have updated their credentials using the app.

Ukraine attacked Russian oil depot more than 1,400 km from its border
General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack on Zenit oil depot in Russia’s Kirov region, more than 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
Earlier, on August 28, the governor of Russia's Kirov region also reported the attack.
