Overnight Russian strike on Sumy: 2 people killed, 9 injured

Two persons died as a result of a nighttime air strike on Sumy on August 30, reported the Prosecutor's Office of Sumy Oblast.
The body of a 37-year-old woman was found under the rubble. A 48-year-old woman who was injured in the strike earlier died in the hospital.
Another nine people were injured as a result of the enemy attack. The law enforcement officers have already started a pre-trial investigation over violation of the laws and customs of war — Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Overnight the aggressor targeted a civil infrastructure facility. As reported by the prosecutor's office, the enterprise was damaged. Residents of the city were urged to tightly close windows and doors and, if possible, not to leave the premises until the effects of the enemy attack were completely mitigated.
The situation in the region
According to regional authorities, during the past day, August 29, Russian troops shelled the border territories and settlements of Sumy Oblast 78 times. 198 explosions were recorded there.
As a result of an FPV drone attack in the Seredyna-Buda community, three civilians were injured.
