Russia under massively drone attack: explosions rock Moscow airport, Bryansk, Tula, other cities
Overnight, the Russian territory was massively attacked by drones. Explosions were heard, in particular, in Moscow, Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga, Kursk and other regions, reported Russian Telegram channels.
In Moscow Oblast, according to the local authorities, 14 drones were allegedly intercepted that were supposedly launched by the Ukrainan Armed Forces. Drones hit several buildings, and debris from allegedly downed drones fell at the Zhukovsky airport.
The death of a 9-year-old child as a result of a drone hitting a high-rise building was reported, but this information was not confirmed. Instead, it later became known about the killed 46-year-old woman.
In the sky over Bryansk Oblast, according to the governor Aleksandr Bogomaz, it seems that 59 drones were shot down. According to him, there are no casualties or damage. However, social media reports showed that one of the drones fell near a gas station.
In Tula Oblast, two drones were allegedly shot down, the debris of which fell on the grounds of one of the facilities of the fuel and energy complex. No casualties were reported.
According to the governor of Kursk Oblast, Aleksey Smirnov, it was allegedly possible to shoot down 12 drones in the sky over the region.
Explosions also rang out in the Kaluga and Lipetsk oblasts of the Russian Federation.
According to the propaganda news agency TASS, 144 drones allegedly launched by Ukraine were shot down over nine regions of the Russian Federation. Kyiv has not commented on this situation at the moment.
