Trump's meeting with Zelenskyy and threats to a Belarusian volunteer from the National Bank manager: highlights for September 27

Zelenskyy and Trump meet
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy did meet with US presidential candidate Donald Trump in New York.
During the meeting, the Republican reiterated that if he wins, he will be able to quickly achieve a result on the war. He also said that he has “very good relations” with both Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the same time, Zelensky said that Ukraine could stop Putin on the battlefield by November.
After the conversation between the two politicians, the US presidential candidate assured that he and the Ukrainian president wanted to end the war. He also promised Zelenskyy that he would come to Ukraine.

Conflict between a National Bank official and a Belarusian volunteer
Belarusian volunteer Andrii Tratsevskyi, call sign Bezsmertnyi, reported a conflict with Pavlo Poliarush, head of the National Bank's Department for Work with Troubled Assets.
According to him, Poliarush jumped under the car's wheels while being drunk on the road, blocked traffic, started fighting, and said he would shoot Tratsevskyi’s legs with his weapon of honor. Poliarush denied it.
The manager received a report for driving under the influence. The police also registered the incident in the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The National Bank has already launched an internal investigation into the incident.
“Friends of Peace” from China and Brazil
On September 27, China announced its intention to create the “Friends of Peace” platform, within which “like-minded countries” will promote a “political settlement” of the war in Ukraine. The initiative has already been joined by 15 countries. Among the European countries, it was supported by Hungary.
Government appointments
The Cabinet of Ministers appointed the former mayor of Zhytomyr, Serhii Sukhomlyn, who resigned early, as head of the State Agency for the Restoration and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
Oleksandr Porkhun, the former head of the Ministry of Veterans, was appointed Deputy Minister of Health under Viktor Liashko.
Strikes on Kryvyi Rih and Izmail
On the morning of September 27, Russian troops fired a missile at the district police department in Kryvyi Rih, the Dnipropetrovsk region. The shelling resulted in casualties. Three people were killed and six wounded.
A day of mourning was declared in Kryvyi Rih on Monday, September 30.
The occupiers also attacked Izmail, the Odesa region, with drones. The attack killed three people and injured 11.
