Fire in Rovenky in Luhansk Oblast set by Defense Intelligence officers, other Ukrainian units — General Staff
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed the involvement of the Ukrainian military in the attack on the oil depot in the town of Rovenky, in the temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast, according to a message of the General Staff.
An attack was confirmed on the warehouse of fuel and lubricants in Rovenky, where oil and oil products were stored. They were also used for the needs of the Russian army.
The task was carried out by the fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
A fire continues on the property of the oil depot, the damage is still being determined. Earlier, Russian Telegram channels published a video showing the fire and explosions taking place at the oil depot.
The NASA Firms service, which monitors fires around the world, also recorded a fire in Rovenky. According to its map, the burning is taking place on the northeastern outskirts of the settlement.
In May, the occupation authorities of Luhansk Oblast already reported a fire at an oil depot in Rovenky. Three people allegedly died there then, and seven more were injured.
