Georgians went to a rally after the election results, with the opposition demanding a second vote. Norway and Sweden allocated another package of military support to Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted bills to the Verkhovna Rada on the continuation of mobilization and martial law. We collected the main news for October 28.

Georgians took to the streets after the elections

Citizens of Georgia, together with the opposition and President Salome Zourabichvili, held a rally in Tbilisi against the results of the parliamentary elections. At the event, politicians called for a new vote and the publication of voter lists.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban arrived in Tbilisi during the protest. The demonstrators booed him.

Zelenskyy submitted bills to the Rada on the extension of mobilization and martial law

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has submitted draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada proposing to extend martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for another 90 days - until February 7, 2025.

Ukraine's partners have allocated new security packages

Norway has promised to provide Ukraine with 500 million euros of aid, of which 350 million will be used for military support. While Sweden intends to allocate financial support in the amount of 63 million euros, 20 million euros will be directed to the development of Ukrainian industry.

At the same time, Croatia and Germany agreed to deliver 60 Yugoslav-made tanks and IFVs to Ukraine.

Fighters of Ukraine’s intelligence and the resistance movement blew up a railway bridge in Berdyansk

In the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, fighters of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the resistance movement blew up a railway bridge.

As a result of the explosion, the railway connection with Berdyansk was completely paralyzed. The Russians used this bridge for military cargo.

The government named the body that will replace the liquidated Central MSEC

The functions of the Central Medical and Social Expert Commission, which was liquidated against the background of the disability status scandal, will be performed by the Ukrainian State Research Institute of Medical and Social Disability Problems in the city of Dnipro.

Iran and Russia are still discussing the transfer of missiles
