Ukraine attacked by record number of Russian drones. Critical infrastructure hit
Overnight, the Russian military launched 188 drones over Ukraine, including Shahed kamikaze UAVs. 76 of them were shot down, reported the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The interception of drones was recorded over 17 regions of Ukraine. Another 95 drones disappeared from radar, probably due to anti-electronic warfare. Also, five drones flew in the direction of Belarus.
In addition to the UAVs, Ukraine was hit with four Iskander-M ballistic missiles. Their destruction was not reported.
As a result of the overnight attack, critical infrastructure objects were hit, and private and apartment buildings were damaged in several regions. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
Earlier, the authorities of Ternopil reported a disruption in the electricity supply in the entire city after the night attack. Trolleybuses and elevators are not working. Heating points were deployed in the city because the heat supply also disappeared in some areas.
In Kyiv Oblast, fragments of Russian drones damaged private houses, high-rise residential buildings, where windows and doors were broken and facades were cut, the regional authorities reported. In addition, utility premises, garages, and a car were damaged.
In one of the settlements, a power line was damaged. There were no casualties from the attack in the region.
