US President Donald Trump has called on Russia to stop the war against Ukraine, threatening new sanctions. Trump urged Russia to conclude a peace agreement because "it will only get worse"
US President Donald Trump has called on Russia to stop the war against Ukraine and make a deal, or he is threatening taxes, tariffs and sanctions.
"Let's end this war that would never have started if I were president! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way – and the easy way is always better. It's time to MAKE A DEAL.' NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!" the US president said on social media.
The Wall Street Journal writes that Trump has instructed special envoy for the war in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, to end the Russo-Ukrainian conflict in 100 days. At the same time, the publication notes that Moscow has not expressed interest in cooperating with the American special envoy.
The head of the Shevchenkivskyi court did not declare a house and a car
Investigative journalists from hromadske found out that the head of the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv, Alina Zborshchik, who declares only an apartment in Kyiv, actually lives in a house in Kyiv Oblast. This house is not in the registers, which may indicate that it has not yet been registered.
In addition, Zborshchik also uses an undeclared car — a black Toyota Camry, with a driver.
At the same time, the official declares gifts from her mother, although she is developing a business in occupied Luhansk, and in 2023 she obtained a Russian passport.
Zelenskyy revealed what Russia demanded in Istanbul
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that during negotiations with the Russian Federation in Istanbul in the spring of 2022, the Russian side delivered an ultimatum to Kyiv, demanding that Ukraine be headed by pro-Russian MP Viktor Medvedchuk.
In addition to changing the president, according to Zelenskyy, the Russian Federation also demanded the transfer of all of Donbas under its control and the reduction of the Ukrainian army to 50,000 soldiers.
Suspect in beating of girl in Bila Tserkva remanded in custody
The Bila Tserkva City District Court has remanded a 16-year-old boy in custody without bail on suspicion of beating a girl. His mother has said she will appeal the decision.
Information also spread on social media that the conflict between the teenagers could have been caused by the distribution of drugs - they were allegedly offered to the girl, who was later beaten. However, the police noted that they do not currently have such information.
SBU detains one of the “most undercover FSB agents”
SBU counterintelligence officers have exposed a prominent lawyer from Dnipro in the process of coordinating Russian missile strikes on the city. He is known as "one of the most undercover FSB agents" in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
According to the investigation, in order to cause maximum damage, he transmitted not just the general coordinates of the enterprise, but the exact location of the technological workshops and warehouses for storing drones.
The chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was elected a preventive measure
The chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Druz, has been taken into custody for two months with the possibility of bail of 49 million hryvnias ($1.2 million). He is suspected of illegally enriching himself by more than $1 million during the full-scale war.
Journalists reported that he was taken to court by ambulance.
Former commander of the Kharkiv grouping detained after posting bail
Former commander of the Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Grouping Yuriy Halushkin, who was released from custody after posting a bail of 5 million hryvnias ($119,025), has been detained again. The State Bureau of Investigation announced new facts in the case of the border breach in Kharkiv Oblast.
According to the investigation, Halushkin facilitated the unauthorized withdrawal of soldiers from the 125th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade from the battlefield.
In addition, the former commander of the 125th Separate Brigade, Artur Horbenko, who also appears in the case of the failure of the defense of Kharkiv Oblast, was taken into custody.
NABU detective who investigated procurement embezzlement resigns
Detective Andriy Denysiuk, who was involved, in particular, in investigating abuses in the procurement of drones by the State Special Communications Service, resigned from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
In a letter he sent to his colleagues, Denysiuk outlined the reasons for his dismissal. In particular, he said that the investigation into the embezzlement of drone purchases is being conducted by “1.5 people,” and although NABU calls this case a priority, there are no results of the investigation.
Karpenko-Karyi University lecturer accused of harassment
