Russia attacks Ukraine with 140 drones. Most downed by air defenses
Overnight, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 140 Shahed suicide drones and various types of decoy drones. Air defenses destroyed 85 enemy targets, reported the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russians launched drones from the directions of Oryol, Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces.
As a result of combat operations, 85 Shahed attack drones and other types of drones were shot down in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa oblasts.
Another 52 enemy decoy drones were lost from radar without any negative consequences.
