US expects to receive $20 billion in revenue from deal with Ukraine

White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett said the United States expects to gain $20 billion in revenue from the Ukrainian rare earth minerals agreement.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged that the agreement, which Ukraine and the U.S. are to sign Feb. 28, be seen not as a final treaty but as a first step and the beginning of a process.

A new lawmaker will appear in the Verkhovna Rada

The Central Election Commission declared Inna Svyryba the elected Ukrainian MP.

She is on the Servant of the People party's electoral list at No. 148 and is the next candidate in line after Iryna Kormyshkina (Allahverdiyeva), who recently decided to resign her legislator mandate.

The United States extended sanctions against Russia

The United States extended sanctions against Russia for another year, imposed for its invasion of Ukraine. The corresponding decree will take effect February 28.

Earlier, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent suggested that negotiations could address the issue of adjusting sanctions.

Bloomberg: Turkiye is ready to send its peacekeepers to Ukraine

Turkiye, which has the second largest army in NATO, is open to deploying its own peacekeeping forces in Ukraine after the end of the Russo-Ukrainian war, Bloomberg reported, citing its own sources.

Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan has discussed this issue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

MFA: The partners' mission should include patrolling the sky and sea

Ukraine insists that a possible military mission of partners, in addition to deploying ground troops, should also include patrols in the sky and the Black Sea, said Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi.

U.S. President Donald Trump forgot that he called his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator."

When a reporter asked Trump if he still considers Zelenskyy a "dictator," the Republican jokingly replied, "Did I say that?"

Kolomoisky lost the case challenging the nationalization of PrivatBank

Ukraine's Cassation Administrative Court, which is part of the Supreme Court, rejected businessman Ihor Kolomoisky's case challenging the nationalization of PrivatBank.

The case has been under consideration since 2017. In 2019, the Kyiv District Administrative Court ruled in favor of Kolomoisky. However, in November 2023, the Sixth Appellate Administrative Court overturned that decision.

The Ministry of Culture has suspended the issuance of exit permits for artists and media professionals.

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communication (MCSC) will suspend the issuance of letters to facilitate the departure of conscripted artists and media workers abroad from March 3.

In response, Media Movement participants said that the MCSC decision creates "artificial obstacles" to professional activities and called for its cancellation.

An official from the Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration allegedly refused to sit next to a veteran

Alyona Atamaniuk, first deputy head of the Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration, was accused of refusing to sit next to a veteran because he was "not her equal." The official denies this.

The head of the Chernivtsi Oblast Military Administration, Ruslan Zaparianiuk, said he ordered an immediate internal investigation.

State Border Service of Ukraine: Humanitarian cargo carriers will cross the border on general grounds

The State Border Guard Service announced that men transporting humanitarian and medical cargo will now cross the border on general grounds.

During martial law, Ukrainian law prohibits men aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country, with certain exceptions. This exception applies to male drivers who help transport humanitarian cargo.
