Russian troops hit Sudzha gas metering station, accuse Ukraine – General Staff
The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces refuted Russia’s accusation that Ukrainian troops struck the Sudzha gas metering station, a key facility for gas exports to Europe.
In a statement on Telegram, the General Staff called the allegations baseless and part of Russia’s disinformation campaign.
Russian Telegram channels had shared videos of a fire at the Sudzha station, claiming the blaze was visible for dozens of kilometers and attributing it to Ukraine.
However, the General Staff said Russia itself has repeatedly targeted the site.
Last summer, Russian forces dropped guided bombs on the station, repeated the attack three days ago, and shelled it with artillery on March 21.
“Russians keep producing numerous fakes to mislead the international community,” the General Staff said, urging the public not to fall for the manipulation.
