Ukraine developing its own strategic-level air defense system, offers EU to invest in it, FM Sybiha says

Ukraine is developing its own strategic-level air defense system, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said during his speech at a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council.
The official suggested that EU partners invest in the development of Ukrainian air defense to accelerate its implementation. He also called on allies to generally strengthen Ukrainian air defense support and provide additional systems, missiles, and spare parts.
In addition, Sybiha spoke about the Russian ballistic missile strike on Sumy, as well as the previous strike on Kryvyi Rih, thanking partners for their solidarity.
"[Vladimir] Putin will move further into Europe and closer to your homes if he is not stopped in Ukraine. That is the reality. And we do not want your countries to ever see cluster ballistic missile strikes on residential neighborhoods or playgrounds. That is why it is necessary to act now to achieve peace, to strengthen Ukraine and increase pressure on Moscow," he said.
Back in February, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine was developing an analogue of the Patriot. Before that, he stated that he was receiving calls from the military about a shortage of missiles for these American complexes.
