Russian Shahed drones strike Odesa, injure three, damage homes
In the early hours of Tuesday, Russian troops attacked Odesa with Shahed kamikaze drones, wounding three civilians and causing widespread damage to residential and civilian infrastructure, according to Odesa Oblast governor Oleh Kiper, Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, and Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.
The attack targeted a densely populated residential area, triggering multiple fires. Civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, an educational institution, and vehicles were damaged.
The SES reported that 78 firefighters were deployed to extinguish the blazes caused by the strikes.
