41 drones shot down, 40 more fail to reach targets: Air Force reports on Russia's overnight attack
Russian forces launched 103 strike drones, including Shahed models and other types, targeting Ukraine overnight into April 25, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. Air defenses destroyed 41 targets.
The drones were deployed from Russia’s Kursk, Bryansk, and Oryol oblasts. Ukraine’s defense response involved fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups from the Defense Forces.
The Air Force reported that 41 drones were shot down, while an additional 40 were “lost to radar” without causing fallout.
The attack affected Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts.
