Russian strikes on Zaporizhzhia injure 4, cut power
Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia overnight on Wednesday, injuring four people, damaging 11 residential buildings, and disrupting power to over 42,000 households, Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration head Ivan Fedorov reported on Telegram.
Fedorov said the attack involved at least 13 strikes, causing fires in multiple locations across the city, per his statement. The assault damaged an energy facility and 11 residential buildings, with four people wounded, according to the report.
The strike on the energy infrastructure left more than 42,000 subscribers in two districts without electricity, though power was restored within two hours, Fedorov noted.
Situation in the region
Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces conducted 628 attacks on Zaporizhzhia Oblast’s settlements, using aircraft, drones, rocket artillery, and barrel artillery, per the regional administration.
These strikes resulted in 34 reports of damage to apartments, private homes, non-residential premises, infrastructure, and vehicles.
