Russian drone attack injures one in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Oblast
Russian forces launched 10 Shahed drones and decoy drones at Ukraine overnight, all downed by air defenses, while a separate drone attack in Zaporizhzhia injured a 72-year-old man, Ukraine’s Air Force and regional officials reported.
In Zaporizhzhia’s frontline community, a Russian drone struck a civilian vehicle, wounding a 72-year-old man, according to regional military administration head Ivan Fedorov.
In Dnipropetrovsk’s Nikopol district, Russian forces attacked Nikopol, Marhanets, Pokrovsk, and Myrove territorial communities with Grad multiple rocket launchers, artillery, and drones, per regional governor Serhiy Lysak.
Rescuers extinguished a fire in a private home, and no casualties were reported in Nikopol.
Last week, Ukraine, supported by France, Germany, the UK, Poland, and the United States, called for a 30-day unconditional ceasefire starting May 12.
