Ukraine repatriated the bodies of 909 fallen soldiers from battlefronts including Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, and Russian morgues, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced on Friday.

The fallen defenders fought on the Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, Bakhmut, Vuhledar, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv fronts, with some bodies recovered from morgues in Russia.

Law enforcement investigators and Ministry of Internal Affairs forensic experts will work to identify the deceased as quickly as possible.

In April 2025, Ukraine similarly repatriated the remains of 909 soldiers from various fronts and Russian morgues.
