Russia launches ballistic missiles, 90 drones across Ukraine, injuring 11 in Kharkiv
Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight into Friday with two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 90 Shahed drones, with Ukrainian air defenses downing 56 drones, injuring 11 in Kharkiv, the Air Force reported.
The drones were launched from multiple directions in Russia, while the ballistic missiles originated from Voronezh Oblast, targeting eastern, southern, and northern Ukraine.
By 8:00 a.m., air defenses neutralized 56 drones, 26 were destroyed by other means, and 30 were lost to radar or electronic warfare.
Strikes hit 12 locations, primarily in Kharkiv, Odesa, and Donetsk oblasts.
In Kharkiv, eight Shahed drones struck a trolleybus depot, damaging 18 vehicles and injuring three people, with one trolleybus destroyed.
Additional strikes hit Vasyliv Khutir, Yavirske, and Izyum, with eight wounded, including two children, reported in the region.
