Ukraine neutralizes 52 of 71 Russian drones in overnight attack
Russian forces launched 71 drones of various types against Ukraine’s regions overnight into Wednesday, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The attack was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups.
A total of 52 drones were neutralized in the east, north, and south of the country. Of these, 32 were shot down using firepower, while 20 were lost or suppressed through electronic warfare measures, the Air Force said.
The Russian drone strikes impacted Odesa, Kharkiv, and Sumy oblasts, with hits recorded at six locations.
In Kharkiv, the regional state administration reported that drones struck a civilian enterprise in the Kyivskyi district and caused a fire in a three-story residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district. A 64-year-old man was injured in the attack.
