Russian drones strike Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, killing 1, injuring 27

Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with strike drones overnight into Monday, injuring 27 people due to hits on residential buildings and infrastructure, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and Kharkiv Oblast Military Administration Head Oleg Synegubov reported.

A Russian drone struck a residential building in Kharkiv’s Shevchenkivskyi District, causing a fire on the top floor.

Another drone hit the Slobidskyi District, targeting residential areas and a civilian facility, with damage reported to a kindergarten building, Synegubov said.

In Slobidskyi District, at least five people were injured, including a three-year-old girl.

8:15 a.m. update: Terekhov reported that the number of injured in Kharkiv rose to 27.

Kyiv was also targeted by Russian drones. In the Desnianskyi district, debris damaged windows in a non-residential building, while in the Solomyanskyi district, a vehicle and a water supply pipe were affected, said Kyiv City Military Administration Head Tymur Tkachenko. No casualties were reported in Kyiv at the time.

7:43 a.m. update: Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that the Holosiyivskyi district was impacted, with drone debris damaging windows in an office building. No casualties were reported there. Additionally, debris damaged a large-diameter heating pipeline, leaving approximately 500 buildings without hot water.

7:57 a.m. update: Russian forces also struck Odesa overnight, damaging garage facilities, an administrative building at a service station, and several construction trailers, with vehicles destroyed, according to the State Emergency Service. One person was killed in Odesa.
