In the early hours of Wednesday, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with over a dozen missiles and 728 drones, with air defenses neutralizing 718 targets, according to a report by Ukraine’s Air Force.

Russian forces deployed seven Kh-101 and Iskander-K cruise missiles, six Kh-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, 728 Shahed attack drones, and other types of drones.

The primary target of the attack was the city of Lutsk.

The air assault was countered by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

The Air Force reported that all seven cruise missiles were shot down. No information was provided on the interception of the Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles.

Additionally, air defenses neutralized 728 Russian drones: 303 were shot down with firepower, while 415 were lost to tracking or suppressed by electronic warfare measures.

Enemy air targets struck four locations, though specific details were not disclosed.

Details of the night attack


Russian forces targeted Lutsk, with Volyn Oblast authorities reporting that the city was attacked with five missiles and 50 drones, causing fires at an enterprise and a garage cooperative.

Russian forces also struck Kyiv Oblast, injuring one person. Attacks were reported in Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr oblasts.
