Russia hits Ukraine with 3,800 drones, 260 missiles in July
Throughout July 2025, Russian troops deployed more than 3,800 Shahed attack drones and nearly 260 missiles of various types against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported.
Of the missiles used, 128 were ballistic, and Russian forces also dropped over 5,100 guided aerial bombs during the month.
“This can only be stopped together: America, Europe, other global actors. Every interaction matters. Every day matters,” Zelenskyy said.
He noted that the July 31 attack on Kyiv underscores the need for new, tougher sanctions against Moscow.
“No matter how the Kremlin denies their effectiveness, sanctions work and must be strengthened to target everything that enables such strikes. It’s critical that the world does not stay silent,” he added.
U.S. President Donald Trump, commenting on the Kyiv attack, called Russia’s actions “despicable” and expressed intent to impose sanctions but questioned their impact on Russia.
