Russian troops carried out the most intense attack on Lozova, Kharkiv Oblast, since the start of the full-scale war, resulting in one death and at least 10 injuries, according to Mayor Sergiy Zelenskiy.

“This night, the Russians unleashed true terror on peaceful people who were sleeping. Sooner or later, they will answer for everything,” said the official.

The attack damaged critical infrastructure, apartment buildings, and private homes in Lozova. Among the injured are two children.

The city council reported the temporary closure of the railway station. Oleksandr Pertsovskyi, head of Ukrzaliznytsia’s board, said most railway workers reached shelters in time, but one employee—a mechanic at a railway unit—was killed, and four others were injured and are receiving medical assistance.

As of 7:45 a.m. at least 10 people, including two children, were injured, according to public broadcaster Suspilne, citing Kharkiv’s State Emergency Service. Several fires broke out in the city.

Multiple train depots were also damaged. Currently, shuttle buses are transporting passengers to and from the station, as trains are rerouted to bypass Lozova.

Rescue workers, medics, and emergency services are responding at the attack sites. Efforts are underway to restore water supply in the city. Parts of Lozova, including the Avylivka district and Katerynivka starostate area, remain without electricity.

At 3 a.m., Ukraine’s Air Force reported drones heading toward Lozova.
