Ukrainian strike shuts down Russia's Nikolskoye oil hub
Units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in coordination with other components of the Defense Forces, conducted a strike on the Nikolskoye oil pumping station in Russia’s Tambov Oblast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The attack caused a fire at the facility, completely stopping oil pumping through the Druzhba pipeline. The General Staff noted that the Nikolskoye station is part of Russia’s economic infrastructure and supports the Russian occupation forces.
“The Ukrainian Defense Forces are consistently working to reduce Russia’s military-economic potential to fully stop its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the military stated.
Previously, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that Ukrainian drone attacks had disrupted Russian oil supplies to Hungary.
He called the strike another attack on Hungary’s energy security, describing it as “outrageous and unacceptable.”
