In the early hours of Wednesday, Russian forces conducted a large-scale attack on Ukraine using cruise missiles and strike drones, targeting several regions, according to regional authorities and Ukraine’s state railway operator, Ukrzaliznytsia.

In Kyiv Oblast, debris from a downed target sparked a fire between residential high-rises in Vyshhorod, damaging a vehicle and building windows, reported regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk. No casualties were recorded.

In Kirovohrad Oblast, the town of Znamyanka was hit, damaging railway infrastructure.

Ukrzaliznytsia reported four railway workers injured, with delays affecting multiple train routes, including:

  • Zaporizhia — Odesa,
  • Kropyvnytskyi — Kyiv,
  • Dnipro — Chelm,
  • Zaporizhia — Przemysl,
  • Kharkiv — Odesa,
  • Kharkiv — Cherkasy/Uman,
  • Kramatorsk — Kherson,
  • Lviv — Dnipro,
  • Chelm — Dnipro,
  • Lviv — Zaporizhzhia,
  • Odesa — Kharkiv,
  • Odesa — Dnipro,
  • Odesa — Kryvyi Rih.

Western regions were also targeted. In Lutsk, Volyn Oblast, Mayor Ihor Polishchuk reported that drone attacks ignited two garages, a utility building, and a private truck, with another utility structure damaged by debris.

In Khmelnytskyi, Mayor Oleksandr Symchyshyn reported damage and fires, including broken windows in some buildings, with significant disruptions to public transport, according to the city council.

The State Emergency Service reported that in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast’s Kalush district, fires broke out at three warehouse locations, with 130 rescuers and 35 units of equipment deployed.

Attacks also struck Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Ternopil oblasts, with explosions reported across these regions.
