Ukraine's intelligence targets Russian unit known for execution of Ukrainian POWs in Vladivostok raid

Ukraine's Defense Intelligence conducted a special operation in the Shchitovoy area near the Russian city of Vladivostok, targeting a military unit whose soldiers executed Ukrainian prisoners, an informed intelligence source told hromadske.

The source noted that the 47th Separate Airborne Assault Battalion of Russia's 155th Separate Guards Marine Brigade is stationed there. The unit participated in combat operations near Kyiv, Vuhledar, Mariupol, and in the Kursk and Pokrovsk sectors.

"Russia's 155th Brigade is notorious for its particular cruelty toward the local population and the execution of Ukrainian prisoners," the source recalled.

At 9 a.m. local time, a powerful explosion occurred on the military unit's parking lot, followed by another. Russian resources reported that a lot of equipment and security service personnel arrived at the explosion site, and a helicopter was even spotted.

Additionally, the area near administrative buildings and parking lots at the entrance to Shchitovoy was cordoned off. Traffic in the area was partially blocked, and law enforcement officers are checking all vehicles. Russia called the explosions an "incident with gas equipment."

The operation in Vladivostok resulted in deaths and injuries among the Russian soldiers. Eyewitnesses reported many ambulances at the scene.
