Five killed in Russian guided bomb attack on Kostinatynivka in Donbas

Russian forces dropped a 250-kilogram guided bomb on a residential area in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, on Thursday, killing five people, regional governor Vadym Filashkin, police, and prosecutors reported.

Russian troops dropped a 250-kilogram guided bomb with a UMPK munition guidance kit on the city around 10 a.m. The strike hit a residential quarter, killing two women aged 62 and 65 and three men aged 65, 67, and 74. Four buildings were damaged.

The prosecutor's office has launched a pretrial investigation into a criminal case regarding a war crime under Part 2 of Article 438 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.

On the previous day, two people were killed and 11 others, including a child, were injured due to Russian attacks, police reported. The police recorded 2,327 enemy attacks along the front line and residential sector, targeting Kramatorsk, Lyman, and the settlements of Donetske, Novodonetske, Rayhorodok, and the villages of Vasylivska Pustosh, Starovarvarivka, and Tetianivka.

Kostiantynivka endured 12 attacks on Wednesday with bombs, drones, and artillery. Two people were killed in the city as a result of these attacks.
