Russian strikes kill 2 in Kyiv, hit energy infrastructure across Ukraine

Russian forces launched a barrage of missiles and drones at multiple Ukrainian cities including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Izmail, Kremenchuk and Kamyanske overnight into Wednesday, killing two people in the capital and wounding at least 13 in the southeast, local officials reported.
Kyiv
Russian troops hit Ukraine's capital with ballistic missiles overnight, Kyiv City Military Administration head Tymur Tkachenko reported on Telegram. The strikes killed two people.
Fires broke out in the Pecherskyi, Desnianskyi and Holosiyivskyi districts from the Russian attack, while the aggressor struck residential high-rises in the Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, sparking more blazes there.
In addition to the dead, there were at least three wounded.
Zaporizhzhia
Russian forces massively attacked Zaporizhzhia overnight, regional governor Ivan Fedorov reported. Preliminary reports showed nine strikes on the city, wounding 13 people.
The attack damaged residential buildings, where residents suffered shrapnel wounds and carbon monoxide poisoning.
Fedorov said 2,000 consumers lost power temporarily from the Russian strikes.
Odesa Oblast
Russian forces also targeted Odesa Oblast overnight, specifically Izmail, the district administration said. The attack damaged energy and port infrastructure.
Power supply to the city is gradually being restored. No one was hurt in the strike.
Poltava Oblast
Russians struck oil and gas industry facilities in the Myrhorod district of Poltava Oblast overnight, regional governor Volodymyr Kohut reported.
No one was injured. Monitoring channels said Kremenchuk also came under Russian attack.
The Energy Ministry said the enemy deliberately targeted energy facilities overnight.
