Russian missiles killed a woman and two children in a Kyiv Oblast village overnight, regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk reported.

According to him, three people died in the village of Pogreby, in the Brovary district. The deceased were a woman born in 1987 and two children - a 6-month-old baby and a 12-year-old girl.

Their bodies were found at the scene of a fire in a private house.

Also in the Brovary district, a man born in 1987 was fatally injured.

In addition, an 83-year-old woman was injured as a result of the attack, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. In Brovary, debris from downed targets also caused a fire, which rescuers quickly extinguished.

A 46-year-old man, a gas station worker, was also wounded in the Obukhiv district.

Russian forces launched a massive assault on Ukraine overnight into Wednesday with ballistic and cruise missiles plus strike drones.

Targets included the Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Poltava and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts. The strikes killed at least two in the capital and wounded 13 in Zaporizhzhia.

Damage hit civilian sites along with energy, gas and port facilities. Emergency power outages were imposed in most regions.
