Russian forces launched a massive overnight assault on Ukraine's Odesa Oblast, damaging energy and transport infrastructure and injuring one civilian, regional governor Oleh Kiper reported.

The attack damaged energy and transport infrastructure sites. One person was injured and is receiving necessary medical assistance.

Some consumers were temporarily left without electricity. Power engineers are already working to restore it.

Meanwhile, critical infrastructure facilities are operating on generators.

Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK reported that as a result of the attack, 26,900 consumers currently remain without power.

The company also noted that power engineers have reconnected critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings to backup lines where technically possible, restoring electricity to 7,000 families.
