Russia hits passenger depots and tracks in Ukraine's Sumy and Kharkiv oblasts

Russian troops struck passenger rail facilities in Sumy and tracks in Kharkiv Oblast overnight into Friday, damaging equipment and delaying trains, Ukraine’s railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia reported.
The attacks hit a passenger depot in Sumy, destroying company buildings and rolling stock. Train No. 779/780 from Sumy to Kyiv departed on schedule after substitute cars were quickly added.
In Kharkiv Oblast, infrastructure near Lozova was damaged, forcing Train No. 228/227 from Husarivka to Ivano-Frankivsk onto an alternate route with delays.
No railway workers were hurt, as all sought shelter in time, the company said.
The strikes followed an evening assault on Sumy's civilian infrastructure the previous day, targeting a high-rise and a two-story home. Local officials said Russians launched 10 drones at the city in one hour.
As of Friday morning, the State Emergency Service reported 11 injured, including four children.
