Ukraine's air defenses down 92 Russian drones in overnight barrage

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 142 strike drones overnight into Thursday, with air defenses downing 92 of them, Ukraine's Air Force reported.
The enemy launched the drones — about 90 of them Shaheds — from Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Bryansk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as Hvardiyske in occupied Crimea.
Anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, unmanned systems and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled the assault.
As of 8:30 a.m., air defenses had downed 92 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and other types over the north, south and east.
Hits from 42 strike drones were recorded at 18 locations, with debris fallout at three more sites.
The attack was ongoing as of 8:30 a.m., with several enemy drones still in Ukrainian airspace.
