Ukrainian Su-27 pilot Yevheniy Ivanov dies during combat mission
A Ukrainian Su-27 fighter pilot, Lt. Col. Yevheniy Ivanov, was killed on the eastern front, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Officials said the pilot died around noon on Monday while carrying out a combat mission. Yevheniy Ivanov was the senior navigator of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade.
Military investigators are clarifying all circumstances of the incident.
In September 2025, Su-27 pilot Oleksandr Boryvyk was killed on the Zaporizhzhia axis. He was also a member of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade.
