On the night of 23 December, drones attacked the city of Budyonnovsk in Russia’s Stavropol Krai, says Vladimir Vladimirov, Governor of the Stavropol Krai region.

According to the official, a fire broke out in the industrial zone. No casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure were reported.

Ukrainian OSINT resources and the Russian Telegram channel Astra claim that the Stavrolen petrochemical plant was under attack.

This is not the first time that the Stavrolen plant has been attacked by drones. In November, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that it had been hit.

This plant has a full cycle of hydrocarbon processing and produces polymers for the manufacture of composite materials, spare parts, seals, and insulation for various types of Russian army equipment. Among other things, it also produces components for UAVs.
