Russian forces hit Odesa Oblast energy and port infrastructure in overnight strikes, damaging DTEK assets

Russian forces once again targeted energy and port infrastructure in Odesa Oblast overnight into Friday, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper, the State Emergency Service and Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction Oleksii Kuleba.
Izmail and Odesa districts, as well as the city of Odesa itself, came under attack. The airstrikes caused fresh damage to energy and port infrastructure. Fires broke out; administrative buildings, equipment and vehicles were damaged.
"The enemy continues attempts to destroy Ukraine's seaport logistics and undermine the economy and food security," Kuleba said.
According to him, Odesa Oblast ports endured nonstop strikes all night. Drone hits damaged elevators, civilian enterprise warehouses, a barge and vessels flying flags of Slovakia and Palau.
Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK reported two of its energy sites in southern Odesa Oblast came under attack. Damage is significant, and restoring equipment will take time.
Rescuers said repeated air raid alerts complicated response efforts in the region. There were no casualties.
In addition, Kuleba reported a terminal in Mykolaiv Oblast came under a Russian drone attack. A vessel flying Liberia's flag was damaged. Restoration work continues.
An attack also damaged Lviv Railways at Kovel station. A locomotive and freight car were hit; the blast wave shattered windows in the locomotive depot shop.
