Zelenskyy signs declaration with Macron and Starmer on deploying Western forces in Ukraine after war

Following the "coalition of the willing" meeting in Paris, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a declaration with French and British leaders outlining intentions to deploy a multinational military contingent in Ukraine after the war, as seen in the Elysée Palace broadcast.
French President Emmanuel Macron said creating "multinational forces" would provide "a kind of guarantee" for Ukraine after a cease-fire, Le Monde reports.
According to him, preparations are underway "to create multinational forces in the air, at sea and on land to ensure a certain form of de-escalation the day after a cease-fire and far from the line of contact."
Meanwhile, ceasefire monitoring mechanisms will be led by the U.S., the French leader said.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine already has details on "force deployment, numbers, specific types of weapons, and the components of the Armed Forces required and able to operate effectively": "We understand which country is ready for what among all members of the Coalition of the Willing." He also stressed the U.S. is ready to work on war ceasefire monitoring.
The Guardian, which obtained the document draft signed after the meeting, quoted it as saying multinational forces will ensure "regeneration of Ukrainian armed forces" and provide "reassurance measures in the air, at sea and on land" for Ukraine.
The U.S. will participate by providing logistics and intelligence data. The document also mentions a "U.S. commitment to support the force in case of attack" from Russia.
