Russia launches Iskander and nearly 100 UAVs at Ukraine overnight

Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight into Wednesday with one Iskander-M ballistic missile and 95 strike drones. Defense Forces neutralized the enemy missile and most UAVs, according to Ukraine's Air Force.

Russians launched the ballistic missile from Taganrog, and the drones from Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Oryol and temporarily occupied Donetsk and Hvardiyske in Crimea. About 60 of the launched drones were Shaheds.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems subunits, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.

Preliminary data as of 7:30 a.m. show air defenses downed/suppressed one ballistic missile and 81 Russian Shahed, Gerbera and other-type drones in the north, center and east of the country.

14 strike drone impacts were recorded at eight locations, with debris falls at five locations. Military warned the enemy attack continues — several Russian UAVs remain in Ukrainian airspace.
