Ukrainian drones struck the Russian frigate Admiral Makarov — a carrier of Kalibr cruise missiles — in the port of Novorossiysk, the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Lt. Col. Robert “Magyar” Brovdi reported.

Initially, he stated that the Admiral Grigorovich had been hit, which is the first military frigate of the Russian Navy's Burevestnik class. In addition to eight Kalibr missiles, it is armed with the Shtil-1 air defense system with 24 missiles.

During the Ukrainian attack, the frigate fired air defense missiles, but that did not prevent the strike. Intelligence is now assessing the extent of the damage.

However, OSINT analysts from the CyberBoroshno project stated that in fact another frigate, the Admiral Makarov or Admiral Essen, which is currently in Novorossiysk, was hit. The Admiral Grigorovich is part of the Russian fleet's operational formation in the Mediterranean Sea.

After that, Magyar also clarified his post, noting that the blow really fell on the Admiral Makarov.

The floating drilling rig Sivash was also hit. The strike was conducted by the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment “Raid” together with the deep-strike forces of the Ukrainian Navy.

Previously, Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian port city of Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Lrai late on Sunday. The Sheshkharis oil terminal was likely among the targets.
